Cameraless

This project explores photography through camera-less techniques in both a pre-digital age and a contemporary sense to depict the floral still life. It begins to examine the present-day rejection of the traditional camera through the use of a flatbed scanner, providing an intricate rendition of the subject and uses the photograph to document. Touching on still life symbolism, the scanner reproduces explicit detail whilst dispensing deeper meaning which stretches beyond visual aestheticism.
